VISIT OUR DEMO ROBOT
IN MELBOURNE

July 08

Could this be the one that nearly got away?
Need an alternative to an airslide?

Kockums is getting behind the relatively new SCIROCCO II air slide gravity conveyor. This is an air slide conveyor that features all the simplicity, benefits (bends) and installation ease of a rubber hose. Low air consumption and very high conveying rates for given cross sections make this an exciting prospect. Come and see the demonstration / test rig at Heidelberg West Vic.

July 08

A major Melbourne cement handler has purchased 300NS KOCKUMS Clyde Dome valves for use in diverter branches in a pneumatic conveying line. After trying all the others, this is the answer!

July 08

TWINS!! Two Okura Robotic palletising systems are currently under construction for handling bags of potting mix and fertiliser for a major garden product supplier in WA. Kockums ongoing work in this industry is second to none.....

July 08

Major WA engineering construction company places order for Automated Bulk Bag Filling systems suitable for filling 8 bags/hr (+/-0.5kg) of Cobalt Hydroxide. Our scope also includes the upstream hopper and product feed system. The system is destine for use in Republic of Congo.

Jun 08

Following previously supplied systems, 3-off Sonopulse Silo discharge systems under manufacture suitable for installation with 100T and 250T tapped bath storage silos. The system is destine for the Middle East.

Jun 08

Contract awarded for two high specification Automatic Bulk bag filling lines suitable for handling Salt in a Zone 2 environment. The system also comprises pallet dispenser, bag accumulation system, upstream conveyor and controls. This equipment is to be designed in accordance with the stringent specifications associated with the Pluto LNG project in WA.

Jun 08

An order has been received from a NSW milling company for a high speed high level palletiser suitable for upto1800bph. The system also includes an automatic inline wrapping system. The project is due for installation at the end of thIS year for start-up early 09.

Jun 08

Continuing a long standing devotion to the Kockums MICROVEYOR pneumatic conveyors, a major producer of PVC extruded piping has purchased its big brother, the MIDIVEYOR. Capable of pushing up to 10 Te/hr in an 80NS line this unit will meet the expanded production demand with ease. The MIDIVEYOR fills the gap between MICROVEYORS and full specification PCV's

May 08

Major detergent manufacturer in Victoria purchases a Bulk Bag discharging system for handling STPP. Limited fork lift access ment a gantry and hoist system had to be utilised for loading bulk bags onto the discharge hopper. Special modifications were made to the system to suit the limited low headroom.

May 08

Bags of bath!
A 21bph Automatic Bulk Bag Filling system is under construction suitable for handling tapped bath. The system will be pre-wired and factory tested prior to dispatch.

May 08

A 4” Olds Elevator is currently being build to elevate sand to 10m to replenish a filter bed every hour. The Olds Elevator offers good resistance to product wear and provides accurate metering of product to the destination hopper.

Apr 08

WA Cement Manufacturer give the go ahead for a 50T/Hr Bulk bag de-bagging and Dense Phase Conveying facility. The bulk bags will be dropped onto a bulk bag discharger complete with bag cutting system, Sonoforce discharge aid and dust management system. The complete bag contents are then conveyed directly to one of three destination silos. A Kockums heavy duty Wing Compressor, ideal for Dense Phase Conveying, plays an important part in the systems performance.

Mar 08

Another small (250 litre) dense phase Pneumatic Conveying Vessel (PCV) and receiving hopper is going into the Tasmanian aluminium industry. Handling alumina and coke in the same system, it features a control system designed to accommodate the quite distinctly different conveying characteristics of these two materials. The aggressive nature of the alumina demanded the use of…… what else but the KOCKUMS Clyde Dome valves!

Mar 08

Expansion of cement production capacity in Queensland prompts supply of two new significant KOCKUMS dense phase conveying systems:

A 100 Te/hr plus continuous conveying cement system with dual Pneumatic Conveying Vessels (PCV's) has been ordered. Based on the time proven Kockums design and enhanced by the use of KOCKUMS Clyde Dome valves, this is in a major cement plant expansion project, which features conveying distances of up to 200m and a possible 16 different destination silos. The Dome valves were also chosen for the piping network diverter branches due to wear resistance and robust construction.

Similarly a 90 Te/hr continuous conveying system at Queensland Power Station for classified and reject fly ash. This time combining three PCV's and again featuring the time proven Kockums design and enhanced by the use of KOCKUMS Clyde Dome valves.

Mar 08

Kalgoorlie Nickel mining and processing company invests in a bulk bag filling station complete with automatic sampler, liner inflator, lift/vibrate table, dust collector, operator platform and control panel all in accordance with the site specifications. The system will be designed to fill 2t bulk bags of Nickel Carbonate.

Mar 08

Weights and Measures approved.
A Bulk bag filling station suitable for ”Weights and Measures” approval is currently under construction for handling Kaolin Clay. System requirements are 8bph +/-1kg.

Feb 08

KOCKUMS general pneumatic conveying expertise continues to be accessed by industry in the form of special consultation projects. Recently in particular, the mining industry recognizes KOCKUMS long standing experience with Nickel concentrate and has sought KOCKUMS advice on new and existing facilities. Work in the cement industry sees an exciting new concept for multiple pipeline / outlet diverter valve combinations being accepted

Feb 08

Tasmanian company purchased automated bulk bag filling system complete with infeed hopper, elevating belt conveyor, fill station, lift and vibrate table with eject conveyor and accumulation conveyor. The system has been designed to fill up to 12 bags/hr

Feb 08

Victorian Stock Feed manufacturer places order for a VFFS automatic bagging machine complete with bailing facility. Bags are then palletised using an Okura Robot Palletiser and then automatically wrapped using an inline turntable wrapped ready for despatch.

Jan 08

The KOCKUMS Clyde Dome valve train just rolls on, with provision of three 200NS gravity diverter assemblies in 316 SS for Nickel Concentrate duty. Each assembly comprises two vane type actuated Dome valves in either 2 way or 4 way configuration, with combinations of square to round SS transitions, and complete with controls.
