Dec 07 The Olds Elevator is still in its infancy and its exact boundaries are still unknown. Recent trials on fragile materials like Pet food biscuits and Sodium Bi-Carbonate have been analysed by our customers and confirmed that product degredation is negligible even after minutes of recirculation. Not only is the conveyor good for fragile materials, but ideal for abrasives, hot and combustible materials.
Dec 07 Order received from Concrete Batching Plant for a sack lifting VacuEasyLift. The system will be supplied for lifting the 25kg sacks of dry ingredients directly into the mix truck eliminating the need for conveyors. The dissolvable sacks prevent dust exposure to the operator during loading.
Nov 07 REPEAT ORDER! PVC conveying system supplied to plastics manufacturing company. Multiple existing Microveyor's have proven their performance and reliability for a number of years resulting in another system.

Nov 07 3-off VacuEasyLift's were supplied to a major powder coating manufacturer. 1-off was mounted on a mobile base suitable for manouvering by pallet truck. Headroom was limited, so a low profile swing arm was designed. The other two units were supplied for use in a Hazardous Area and complete with Flameproof motors. This site now has 12 units in total.

The simple heavy duty construction and with only one moving part in the product stream the Microveyor/Dome Valve is the perfect solution. Payper are one of Europe's leading bagging system suppliers and for decades now have been supplying many of the worlds leading process companies globally. Payper's comprehensive range of bagging equipment includes open mouth, valve bag and VFFS have a perfect synergy with Kockums current product range. David Padulles (Area Sales Manager of Payper) spent two weeks visiting clients in Australia introducing our companies product range and capabilities.
Oct 07 2-off Cardboard core vacuum lifter VacuEasyLift's complete with fixed pilar and jib arm supports have been ordered by a major tissue manuafacturer. The VacuEasyLift provides easy an safe lifting of the 5m longcores from the stillage to the cutting machine. This will the 2nd and 3rd unit on this site following years of use with the initially supplied system.

May 07 Fully stainless steel waste bag compactor is currently under construction for a company handling food ingredients. The K20 bag compactor offers containment of the waste sacks during the emptying process and provides a easy compact method of disposal.
May 07 A Microveyor for SOHAR Aluminium in the Sultanate of Oman, this one featuring a Clyde Dome valve for durability in a harsh environment and wear resistance with ‘aluminium bath' well known in the industry as an abrasive. This time supplied with a receiving hopper specially designed to minimize excessive aeration down stream. The client sought a solution and they got it! Look out for more Dome valves on Microveyors!

Another Microveyor and Wing compressor combination, this time for Bentonite at 3.5 Te/hr over 20m conveying distance. Need to position the Microveyor to locate it at accessible height? Just add an extension tube, and gain an increase in vessel volume and operating efficiency at the same time! Saved building an access platform extension!

Apr 07 New compounds plant
On April 23, 2007, the first footing for the new compounds plant at Altona was dug. The plant is designed to make both powder and ready-mix compounds for the current and future requirements of Lafarge and gives the Business Unit a far greater opportunity to be innovative and competitive in the marketplace. During a visit to the new site by our major suppliers, Stuart Jacquet of Lafarge said “this plant is the most significant investment in the Australian Business Unit since the building of the two plasterboard plants in Melbourne and Sydney. “ The compounds plant has been an evolving process in which Lafarge and Kockums Bulk Systems have worked closely together to design and refine the processes to ensure this facility will produce a consistently high quality range of products, as per our customers requirements. The first stage of the project will be to construct the building and warehouse where the equipment will be installed. This is already being undertaken by Becon Constructions at a rapid rate. Meanwhile, the equipment supplier and installer, Kockums Bulk Systems, is designing and manufacturing equipment in Australia and purchasing equipment overseas to meet the specific requirements of the Lafarge Group.

Successful Commissioning of a Cement cross over pipeline network of diverter valves and controls allowing two Pneumatic Conveying Vessels (PCV's) to be routed to any two of four destination silos, again featuring the Clyde Dome valves.
