Kockums Bulk Systems have been designing and installing batch weighing system for the process industry for more than two decades. Working closely with Australia’s most reputable weigh instrument suppliers and careful analysis of each application determines the best method of feed and monitoring. Feeder options vary from Screw Conveyors, to Rotary Valves; to Flexible wall feeders or even quick acting three position butterfly valves.
Monitoring is normally by weight, and utilises either “loss in weight”, “loss of weight” or “gain in weight” methods. Special attention is given to accuracy; repeatability and ‘isolation to other influences’, and TRADE APPROVED systems are also available.
Batching systems may be as simple as a single ingredient addition or complete recipes, normally driven by a batch weigh indicator or central SCADA system.
