There are two common applications where IBC’s are filled, the first is under a blender and the second under a bulk bag unloader or sack tipping station. In either case the IBC may be filled by weight or volume and a telescopic fill spout ensures a sealed dust tight connection is made.

Under a blender - Once a recipe has been mixed in a blender it is common to transfer the finished product to the packing line. A conveyor of some kind is a common choice but there are many applications where allergens, glutens, poisons or toxic materials are present. Cleaning conveyors is not easy and in most cases will create downtime. A simple solution if to put the full mixed batch into and IBC and transfer directly to the packing line. Above the packing machine will be one of our discharge docking station to control and promote flow.  IBC’s can be dedicated to individual material groups or can simply be placed into one of Kockums automated IBC washing and drying station ready for re-use.

Under a bulk bag unloader or Sack tipping station – Sometimes it is desirable to not bring sacks or Bulk bags into the clean part of the factory so they are de-cantered into IBC’s in a designated area. The clean design IBC is then taken into the factory.
